Corelli College Co-operative Academy is celebrating a bumper crop of A Level results.
The results are up by 11% at the A*/A outcomes and up by 13% at A* - B grades. Overall the Academy is celebrating a 99.3% pass rate. The students and staff have worked incredibly hard to achieve these successful outcomes and some of the most notable achievements are:
Billy Beswick – A*, A*, A (English, History and Maths) is going to Oxford to follow a degree in Chinese Studies
Eliza Cummings-Cove – A*, A*, A* (English, Sociology and Drama) is going to Durham to follow a Sociology Degree
Becky Grenville – A, A, A (Biology, Chemistry and Psychology) who intends to take a year out on work experience before studying Veterinary Science
Tanjiah Islam – A, A, B (English, History and Psychology)
Merline Muthukumar – A, A, A, A (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and History) who intends to go onto study Medicine
Sharron Humphrey, Vice Principal said “I am extremely proud of all of our 6th form students and wish them the very best in their next steps and future careers, and I want to thank all of the staff for their dedication and commitment to creating and supporting all of our students’ life chances”.
Trisha Jaffe, Principal of Corelli College added “These results are evidence of the high standards of teaching at Corelli College and the engagement of students. I am very proud of what they have achieved and of the choices they have made for the next phase of their lives”.
Corelli 6th Form College is part of Corelli College Co-operative Academy and as such the institution is based on the co-operative values and ethos. The 6th form is a very successful and inclusive community offering a wide and varied range of qualifications from Entry Level to Level 3 A Levels and vocationally applied courses.
The College Enrolment Day for 6th form students wishing to commence study in September 2013 is Wednesday 28th August from 9.30am. Courses offered can be accessed in the on-line prospectus on the College website www.corellicollege.org.uk.
